Abstract
The article comments on "Copyright, Translations, and Relations Between Britain and India in the Nineteenth and Early Twentieth Centuries," a paper by Lionel Bently that appeared in this issue. It highlights the questions raised by Bently that are pertinent to the debate over harmonizing or accommodating disparities in national laws. In addition, the article discusses other strategic issues that should be considered.
