Abstract
An essay is presented which addresses an update to the author's speech which was delivered as the Keynote Address at the Randolph W. Thrower Symposium on aggregate litigation at the Emory University School of Law on February 6, 2014. The U.S. Federal Rules of Civil Procedure are mentioned, along with the revision of a rule governing class actions in America. The U.S. Supreme Court's ruling in the 1954 civil rights case Brown v. Board of Education is examined, along with the joinder of parties.
