Abstract
The article presents the author's response to comments on his book "The Will of the People" which raise questions on the process of constitutional change. The book establishes that judicial review has been criticized for more than 250 years, that there has been widespread public acceptance of the practice, and that the Court is accountable to the will of the majority. One suggestion in the comments which the author disagrees is said to be the notion that the countermajoritarian difficulty should be retained as a heuristic.
