Abstract
The article focuses on the drafting of the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG) which tries to achieve certainty and predictability along with a private international law. Topics discussed include 1964 Hague Uniform Sales Laws, CISG linked to resort to private international law and CISG's limited internationality requirement. It also discusses CISG's limited scope of application and Article 4 CISG.
